Product Detail

The Galaxy Audio CBM-5 Series Microphone offers four great models. You can choose the CBM-524 with a 24-inch adjustable mic stand, the CBM-562 with a 62-inch adjustable stand, or the Dual Boom Models CBM-524D & 562D with an included T-Bar. This microphone is perfect for various miking needs, from vocals to strings and percussion. Its all-brass microphone head safeguards the 1/2-inch gold-plated diaphragm, guaranteeing years of top-notch performance. The professional microphone and stand set comes with a recessed -10 dB pad and an 80Hz Low Frequency Roll Off switch, handily placed on the microphone head. Technical specs include a 1/2-inch gold-plated condenser capsule, a 58.25-inch boom length (including a 2-inch flexible goose neck), 100 ohms impedance, a 20 - 20,000 Hz frequency response, and more. It has a cardioid polar pattern, a max SPL of 140dB, and uses 36 - 48 VDC phantom power. The connector is a 3-pin XLR, and current consumption is less than 3 mA.

Using the Galaxy Audio CBM-5 microphone is easy. First, connect it to your audio system using the 3-pin XLR connector. Make sure your system provides 36 - 48 VDC phantom power. Adjust the mic stand to your preferred height - you can choose between a 24-inch (adjustable from 14.5 to 24 inches) or 62-inch (adjustable from 35 to 62 inches) stand. Aim the mic capsule using the 2-inch flexible goose neck for the best sound capture. When you need to reduce loud sounds, use the -10dB attenuation switch on the microphone head. The 80Hz Low Frequency Roll Off switch can help cut out unwanted low frequencies. For maintenance, keep the microphone clean. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures. Store it in a safe place when not in use to protect the gold-plated diaphragm and the all-brass microphone head.
