Using this Audio-Technica wireless headworn microphone system is a breeze. First, make sure the batteries in the Unipak transmitter are properly installed. You can use two 1.5V AA batteries, which should last for over 7 hours if they're alkaline.
Next, connect the receiver to a power source using the provided power supply. The power supply can handle 100 - 240V AC at 50/60 Hz and converts it to 12V DC 0.5A.
To set up the system, turn on both the transmitter and the receiver. Use the digital display on the receiver for easy navigation and configuration. You can quickly select channels, sync the devices, and adjust the volume.
When using the microphone, adjust the headset to fit your head comfortably. The microphone has a flexible boom, so you can position it for the best sound pickup. The hypercardioid polar pattern helps focus on the sound in front of the mic and reduces background noise.
For outdoor use, you can attach the foam windscreen to the microphone to reduce wind noise. You have both a large and a small foam windscreen in the package.
Some things to keep in mind: Avoid operating the system in extreme temperatures. The operating temperature range is from 0°C to +40°C (32°F to 104°F). Also, keep the system away from strong sources of interference, like other wireless devices operating in the same frequency range.
For maintenance, keep the system clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the microphone, transmitter, and receiver. If the battery life starts to decline, replace the batteries. And make sure to store the system in a dry, safe place when not in use.
