The DPA 4166 - OC - F - F10 - LH 4166 CORE Slim Omnidirectional Flexible Headset Microphone in a stylish beige color with a 110 mm boom and TA4F Mini - XLR connector is a game - changer. It combines the amazing sound of the 4066 Omnidirectional Capsule with a lightweight and flexible headset system. This condenser microphone is super easy and quick to adjust, delivering clean, transparent sound with plenty of headroom. Just like other mics in the range, it offers accurate, natural voice clarity and can handle very high sound pressure levels. You can speak or sing into it without any distortion. It comes in earset and headset variants. The earset is great for fast and easy setup, like in conferences. The headset fits securely around the head, perfect for active performances. Both are ergonomically designed for a comfortable fit, adjusting to any ear size and head shape, and are hardly visible. You can use it on either ear by rotating the boom and earhook. The connector allows for quick cable and wireless connector swaps. All CORE by DPA technology microphones are IP58 certified. They have water - repellant nano - coating, hermetic sealing of the amplifier, and dual gold - plated diaphragms for durability. You can choose between the legacy 4166 and the CORE version. The legacy one is clear, consistent, and robust, working across a wide dynamic range with low distortion. The CORE version gets a 14 dB increase in dynamic range and offers an even more open and clear sound. Technical specs include an omnidirectional pattern, pressure operation principle, pre - polarized condenser cartridge, 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, and more.
Using the DPA 4166 CORE headset microphone is a breeze. First, decide whether you want to use the earset or headset. If you're in a hurry, like for a conference, the earset is your best bet. Just put it on quickly. For an active performance, choose the headset for a more secure fit. Adjust the boom and earhook to fit your ear size and head shape, and you can use it on either the left or right ear. When it comes to power, if you're using a wireless system, make sure you have a power supply between 5V and 10V through the DPA adapter. With the DAD6001 - BC, you can use P48 phantom power starting from 12V. Remember, this microphone can handle high sound pressure levels, so you can speak or sing loudly without distortion. As for maintenance, since it's IP58 certified, it's quite durable. But still, try to keep it away from excessive water and extreme temperatures. The operating temperature range is from - 40C to 45C. Also, if the cable or wireless connector breaks, you can easily swap them using the connector. And make sure to store it in a dry place when not in use.
