Product Detail

The DPA 6060-OC-U-B03 d:screet CORE 6060 Omnidirectional Subminiature Microphone is a marvel. Despite its tiny 3 mm (0.12 in) size, it packs the audio punch of DPA's larger, award - winning microphones. It offers exceptional clarity, consistency, and durability. With the revolutionary CORE by DPA technology shrunk into this small package, you don't have to sacrifice sound quality for aesthetics. The CORE technology minimizes distortion, providing increased clarity and openness from a whisper to a scream. These subminiature mics have a lower noise floor than other 3 mm capsules on the market and can capture high sound pressure levels without distortion. Their performance is comparable to 5 mm miniature capsules. The advanced design features a removable cap for easy cleaning, which clicks firmly back onto the mic body. Both the mic and cap are made of stainless steel with a PVD coating, making them heat - resistant, impact - resilient, and abrasion - resistant. The matte coating also makes the mic less obtrusive. It's IP58 certified, protected by a water - repellant nano - coating, hermetic sealing of the amplifier, and dual gold plating of the diaphragm. Technical specs include an omnidirectional pattern, a 20 Hz - 20 kHz effective frequency response, a sensitivity of 20 mV/Pa, and more. Available in black or beige, it weighs 8 g (0.29 oz) with cable and connector, and has a 1.8 m (5.9 ft) cable length.

Using this DPA 6060 d:screet CORE microphone is a breeze. First, connect it to your device using the appropriate connector like MicroDot, TA4F Mini - XLR, 3 - pin LEMO, or Mini - Jack. Make sure to provide the right power supply. For full performance, use a minimum of 5 V to a maximum of 10 V through the DPA adapter for wireless systems or 48 V phantom power +/- 4 V with the DAD6001 - BC. It can work from 12V as well. When it comes to placement, since it's omnidirectional, you can position it in various directions to capture sound from all around. Just keep it within the recommended temperature range of - 40C to 45C (- 40F to 113F) and relative humidity of up to 90%. For maintenance, remove the cap regularly for cleaning. Ensure it clicks firmly back onto the mic body. Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or rough handling as it can affect the IP58 - certified protection. If you notice any issues with sound quality or performance, check the connections and power supply first.
