Product Detail

Galaxy Audio's CBM - 324D is an incredibly versatile 57 - inch carbon boom microphone. It's a sleek miking solution perfect for choirs, presentations, orchestras, ensembles, plays, drum overheads, and ambient instrument or audience miking. This microphone comes with three easily replaceable interchangeable mic elements: Omni, Cardioid, and Super Cardioid, allowing you to adapt it for multiple performance needs. The condenser elements deliver clear, smooth, and articulate sound. The cardioid polar pattern can capture the voices of up to 20 singers per mic. The mic end has a 2.5 - inch flexible gooseneck, so you can precisely point the mic where you want. The CBM - 324D includes a pair of 3 Series Carbon sticks, a T - Bar for mounting, and 6 interchangeable elements (3 for each mic). Technical specs: It's a Back Electret Condenser type with a 56.9 - inch boom length (including the mic capsule and a 2.5 - inch flexible goose neck). It has an impedance of 200 ohms, a frequency response of 15Hz - 18kHz, a sensitivity of - 36dB (15.8mV/Pa), and three polar patterns: Cardioid, Supercardioid, and Omnidirectional. The max SPL for 1% T.H.D. is 125dB. It uses a 3 - pin mini XLR (M) connector, a 26.25 - foot (8m) cable with a 3 - pin mini - XLR (F) input and a 3 - Pin XLR (Power Module) output. It requires 9 - 48 VDC phantom power and can be used with either a 24 - inch (14.5 to 24 - inch adjustable) or a 62 - inch (35 to 62 - inch adjustable) mic stand.

Using the Galaxy Audio CBM - 324D is easy. First, choose the right mic element for your performance. If you're recording a large group like a choir, the cardioid pattern is a great choice as it can pick up up to 20 voices well. Just pop the element into place. Adjust the 2.5 - inch flexible gooseneck to point the mic exactly at the sound source. Connect the 3 - pin mini XLR connector to your audio device. You'll need 9 - 48 VDC phantom power, so make sure your power supply meets this requirement. For mounting, use the included T - Bar and 3 Series Carbon sticks. You can choose either a 24 - inch (adjustable from 14.5 to 24 inches) or a 62 - inch (adjustable from 35 to 62 inches) mic stand. When it comes to maintenance, keep the mic clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it down. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures. Store it in a safe place when not in use to prevent damage.
