The Earthworks FM360 is a 13-inch directional 20kHz cardioid podium microphone. Incorporating Earthworks' patented technologies, the FlexMic Series offers high speech intelligibility and a uniform off-axis response. This ensures that speakers can be clearly heard from the front or sides of the microphone without any loss in sound quality. The smooth off-axis response also provides more gain before feedback. With a maximum acoustic input of 145dB SPL, it's almost impossible to overload the microphone. It has high rejection of rear sounds, no handling noise, and excellent RFI rejection. Specifically designed for podium use, the FlexMic Series is ideal for public speaking venues such as lecture halls, presentation spaces, churches, civic centers, theaters, and government facilities. Using the Earthworks FM360 podium microphone is easy. First, make sure it's properly connected to your audio system with the XLR output. It requires 48V Phantom power at 10mA, so ensure your audio setup can provide that. When speaking, you can stand in front, to the side, or even a bit above or below the microphone, and you'll still get clear and high - quality sound. Just try to stay within a reasonable distance, about 6 inches for the best frequency response. As for maintenance, keep it clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you're using it in a high - noise environment, remember that it has good rejection of rear sounds and RFI, but try to minimize sources of interference.
