Product Detail
The DPA 4166-OC-F-C10-LH 4166 CORE Slim Omni Flex Headset Microphone in brown color with a 110 mm boom and TA4F Mini-XLR offers an amazing audio experience. It combines the famous sound of the 4066 Omnidirectional Capsule with a lightweight and flexible headset system. This condenser mic is super easy and quick to adjust, delivering clean, transparent sound with plenty of headroom. The capsule, similar to the 4066, is attached to an interchangeable boom arm. Like other mics in the range, it provides accurate, natural voice intelligibility and high SPL capabilities. You can speak or sing into it without any distortion. It's available as an earset or headset. Earset types are fast to put on, great for conferences. Headset types fit securely around the head, ideal for active performances. Both are ergonomically designed for a comfortable fit, adjusting to any ear size and head shape, and are hardly visible. You can use it on either ear by rotating the boom and earhook. The connector lets you swap broken cables or wireless connectors quickly. All CORE by DPA technology mics are IP58 certified. They have a water-repellant nano-coating, hermetic sealing of the sensitive amplifier, and dual gold plating of the diaphragm. You can choose between the legacy and CORE by DPA versions. CORE technology minimizes distortion, offering increased clarity and openness. The legacy 4166 is clear, consistent, and robust, working across a wide dynamic range with low distortion. The 4166 CORE gets a 14 dB increase in dynamic range and delivers an even more open and clear sound. Technical specs include an omnidirectional pattern, pressure operation principle, pre-polarized condenser cartridge, 20 Hz - 20 kHz frequency response, and more.
Using this microphone is a breeze. First, decide if you want to use it as an earset or a headset. If you're in a hurry, like for a conference, the earset is a great choice. Just put it on your ear and adjust the boom so the microphone is close to your mouth. For active performances, go for the headset. It'll stay securely on your head. You can rotate the boom and earhook to use it on either the left or right ear. When it comes to power, for wireless systems, you need a minimum of 5 V and a maximum of 10 V through the DPA adapter. With the DAD6001 - BC, you can use P48 (Phantom Power), and it'll work from 12 V. As for maintenance, since it's IP58 certified, it's quite durable. But still, try to keep it away from excessive moisture and high - impact situations. If the cable gets broken, you can easily swap it using the connector. And remember, the operating temperature range is from - 40C to 45C and the relative humidity should be up to 90%. So, keep these in mind to get the best performance out of your microphone.
