Product Detail

The Sony ECM - V1BMP is a top - notch lavalier electret condenser microphone. It comes with and is fully compatible with the Sony UWP and UWP - D bodypack transmitters. This microphone offers excellent audio quality. With an electret condenser capsule type, it has a frequency response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, delivering clear and rich sound. Its omni - directional directivity ensures it captures sound from all directions. The sensitivity is - 43.0 - 3 dB, and it has a dynamic range of 86 dB or more, along with a signal - to - noise ratio of 60 dB or more. The inherent noise is 34 dB SPL or less, and the maximum input sound pressure level is 120 dB SPL. It features a BMP type connector with a 3.5 mm, 3 - pole mini plug. The mic cable is 3.9 feet (1.2 m) long. It runs on DC 5 V power with a power consumption of 0.2 mA or less. It has compact dimensions of 9/32 x 25/32 inches (6.8 x 19.5 mm) and weighs approximately 16.2 g (0.57 oz). It also comes with three urethane type windscreens and one single/horizontal type tie clip.

Using the Sony ECM - V1BMP is easy. First, connect the microphone to the Sony UWP or UWP - D bodypack transmitter using the provided 3.5 mm, 3 - pole mini plug. You can clip it onto your clothing with the tie clip. When recording, make sure the microphone is close to the sound source for better audio capture. Since it's omni - directional, it will pick up sounds from all around. For outdoor use, put on one of the urethane type windscreens to reduce wind noise. When it comes to power, ensure the bodypack transmitter is providing DC 5 V power. As for maintenance, keep the microphone clean by gently wiping it with a soft cloth. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry and safe place.
