Using the Shure QLXD124/85 system is easy. First, decide if you want to use the handheld transmitter or the lavalier microphone for your event. You can't use both at the same time. For the handheld transmitter, just turn it on and start speaking or singing. If you choose the lavalier microphone, attach it to your clothing carefully using the provided clip. Next, connect the antennas to the receiver and power it up using the supplied power supply. Make sure the frequency is set correctly according to your region to avoid interference. When it comes to batteries, you can use either Shure SB900 rechargeable Li - Ion batteries or 1.5V AA batteries. The system can run up to 10 hours with Shure SB900 and up to 9 hours with alkaline batteries. Keep in mind that you should turn off the system when not in use to save battery life.
