Product Detail

The RF Venue OPTIX1-S3-US is a high - performance RF - to - fiber - optic conversion system from the OPTIX Series 3. It's designed to make it easy to place wireless audio antennas remotely. The OPTIX Transmitter module turns RF signals from an antenna into a single - mode optical signal. This signal travels through a fiber - optic cable to the OPTIX Receiver module, which then converts it back to RF. There's no signal loss over the optical cable, so you can place antennas up to several kilometers away, no need for big and lossy coaxial cables. Ideal for both live production and installed sound setups, the OPTIX Series 3 has many user - configurable controls. You can manage the signal level, supply DC power to active antennas or amplifiers, and directly monitor outputs for the best performance. It works across VHF, UHF, and the 900 MHz band, and with any brand of wireless audio system. It comes in single - channel (OPTIX1 - S3 - US) and dual - channel (OPTIX2 - S3 - US) options. Key Features: - Converts RF to fiber - optic for remote antenna placement. - Extends antenna range up to kilometers, ditching coaxial cables. - Great for live shows and installed sound. - User - configurable controls for signal, power, and monitoring. - Compatible with multiple frequency bands and all brands of wireless audio. - Available in single - and dual - channel systems. Technical Specifications: - Usable dynamic range: 60 dB - Input noise floor: - 100 dBm - Max usable signal: - 25 dBm (don't exceed) - Typical operating frequency: 175 - 213, 470 - 698, 900 - 960 MHz - VSWR avg.: < 2.5:1 - Impedance (nom): 50 OHM - Max RF input power: < 0 dBm / 1 mW - DC operating voltage: 5 - 22 V - Power supply voltage: 12.25 VDC - Tx Module Power Draw: ~166 mA @ 12VDC - Rx Module Power Draw: ~258 mA @ 12VDC - Optical Tx wavelength: 1310 nm - Dimensions (Tx and Rx): 138 mm (5.43') W X 77 mm (3.03') H X 33 mm (1.30') D (including flange and connectors) - Weight: Tx 223 g (7.9 oz), Rx 229 g (8.1 oz) - Operating temperature: - 25 C to 75 C (- 13 F to 167 F) - RF Connectors: BNC female - Optical connectors: ST/UPC

Using the RF Venue OPTIX1 - S3 - US is easy. First, connect your antenna to the OPTIX Transmitter module. Make sure to use the BNC female connector for the RF connection. Then, connect the transmitter to the fiber - optic cable using the ST/UPC optical connector. Send the fiber - optic cable to where you want to place the receiver. Connect the other end of the fiber - optic cable to the OPTIX Receiver module. Finally, connect your audio equipment to the receiver. When using the system, don't exceed the max usable signal of - 25 dBm. If you do, the signal will get clipped. Keep the operating temperature between - 25 C and 75 C. For maintenance, regularly check the connectors to make sure they are clean and well - connected. If the system is not working properly, check the power supply. The power supply voltage should be 12.25 VDC. Also, keep the system in a dry place to prevent damage.
