Product Detail

The DPA 6066-OC-R-B34 d:fine Core 6066 Omni Headset Microphone in sleek black with a mini-jack is a powerhouse. Its subminiature capsule, just 3 mm (0.12 in) in diameter, packs the audio punch of larger, award-winning DPA microphones. Despite its tiny size, it offers exceptional clarity, consistency, and durability. Thanks to the shrunk CORE by DPA technology, you don't have to sacrifice sound quality for aesthetics. Technical Specs: Directional pattern is omnidirectional. It operates on pressure and pre-polarized condenser principles. Frequency range is 20 Hz - 20 kHz, with a -2 dB range of 40 Hz - 20 kHz and a 4 dB soft boost at 8 - 20 kHz. Nominal sensitivity is 6 mV/Pa; -44 dB re. 1 V/Pa. A-weighted equivalent noise level is typ. 26 dB(A) re. 20 Pa (max. 28 dB(A)). S/N ratio (A-weighted) is typ. 68 dB(A). Total harmonic distortion (THD) is < 1% up to 128 dB SPL peak. Dynamic range is typ. 102 dB. Max. SPL peak before clipping is 144 dB. Output impedance is 30 - 40 ohm from MicroDot and 100 ohm from DAD6001-BC. It can drive cables up to 300 m (984 ft) with DAD6001-BC XLR adapter. Power supply requires min. 5 V to max. 10 V through DPA adapter for wireless systems, or 48 V phantom power -4 V for full performance with DAD6001-BC and works from 12V. It weighs 11 g (0.40 oz) including cable and MicroDot connector. Microphone head size is 3.4 / 8.9 mm (0.13 / 0.35 in), capsule diameter is 3 mm (0.12 in), and cable length is 1.3 m (4.3 ft). Polarity is such that positively increasing sound pressure produces positive going voltage on MicroDot pin. Temperature range is -40 deg C to 45 deg C (-40 deg F to 113 deg F), and relative humidity can be up to 90%.

Using your DPA 6066 headset microphone is a breeze. First, connect it to your device using the mini-jack. Make sure the power supply meets the requirements - you can use the DPA adapter for wireless systems with a voltage between 5V and 10V, or 48V phantom power -4V with the DAD6001-BC adapter. It can even work from 12V. When wearing the headset, adjust it so the microphone is close to your mouth for the best sound capture. Keep in mind that the microphone has a wide temperature range of -40 deg C to 45 deg C (-40 deg F to 113 deg F), but try to avoid extreme conditions. Also, the relative humidity should be up to 90%. For maintenance, gently clean the microphone head with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid getting it wet or using harsh chemicals. The cable can be up to 300 m (984 ft) long when using the DAD6001-BC XLR adapter, so handle it carefully to prevent damage. If you notice any issues with the sound quality or the microphone not working properly, check the connections and the power supply first.
