The DPA 4288-DC-F-B00-ME 4288 CORE Directional Flex Single Ear Earset microphone combines the legendary sound of the 4088 Directional Capsule with a lightweight and flexible headset system. It's perfect for both spoken word and vocal performance. It offers accurate and natural voice clarity and can handle very high sound pressure levels without distortion. In high-SPL situations, it provides excellent off-axis rejection, suppressing distant sounds effectively. This makes it ideal for demanding live performances where background noise and feedback are issues. The 4088 Directional Capsule easily tackles high-SPL challenges. The bass response is optimized for linearity at 2 - 3 cm from the sound source, which helps reject background noise and avoid feedback. The microphone capsule is also resistant to humidity and has low distortion. The 4288 comes in earset and headset versions. The earset is quick to put on, great for conferences. The headset fits securely around the head, ideal for active performances. Both are ergonomically designed for comfort and easy adjustment to fit any ear size and head shape. It mounts securely and is hardly visible. You can use it on either ear by rotating the boom and earhook. The connector allows you to quickly swap broken cables or wireless connectors. Technical details include a cardioid directional pattern, a pre-polarized condenser cartridge type, a frequency response from 20 Hz - 20 kHz, and more. Using the DPA 4288 is a breeze. First, choose whether you want to use the earset or headset version. If it's the earset, simply place it on your ear. If it's the headset, adjust it to fit comfortably around your head. You can rotate the boom and earhook to use it on either the left or right ear. When speaking or singing into the mic, try to keep it about 2 - 3 cm from your mouth for the best sound quality. For power, if you're using a wireless system, make sure it provides between 5 V and 10 V through the DPA adapter. With the DAD6001 - BC, you can use P48 phantom power starting from 12 V. Be careful not to expose the mic to extreme temperatures or humidity beyond its specified range of -40°C to 45°C and 90% relative humidity. To maintain the mic, keep it clean. You can gently wipe it with a soft cloth. If the cable gets damaged, you can easily swap it using the connector. Also, store it in a safe place when not in use to avoid any physical damage.
